Privacy

RapidBlue takes privacy seriously. Our continued success depends upon maintaining the trust that clients and the public have in us.

Our technology has been developed with people in mind. Our clients use the data we provide to enhance the experiences people have in a variety of retail and public places. Research findings are aggregated, anonymous and contain information about presence, location, frequency of visits and density.

Since our technology passively observes Bluetooth-signals from mobile devices, it is non-invasive. We don’t interact with devices in any way. Bluetooth-signals emitted by mobile devices are in no way related to the telephone services on mobile devices. Therefore we cannot and never attempt to identify individuals in our research activity.

If you’re concerned and want to opt out, there are a few things you can do:

  • You can send us your Bluetooth MAC-address via our Opt-out page. Once we receive this, we will exclude your data from any further research activity and delete any data we already hold. It may take us a few days to action this request.
  • Alternatively, you can change the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device to “not discoverable” or switch off Bluetooth on your phone whilst you are in a location where we conduct research. This will immediately exclude you from our research.
